We built it for ourselves. Then it became a product.

Merxion is a small studio that runs client projects: sites, maintenance, development. The tracker was not a market idea — it was the answer to our own problem.

THE STORY

First the tasks lived in group chats. Then in a spreadsheet. Then in a tracker that took three weeks to configure and that nobody wanted to work in except the person who had configured it.

So this one appeared. Every feature grew out of a specific working need, and you can see it in the details: photo checklists came from real site inspections, where you have to prove the meter was read today. The evening digest came from the question "what did the team get done today", which used to be asked by hand, person by person.

Invoices and time tracking came from an argument about what a project had cost. Now the answer is assembled from tasks instead of from memory.

PRINCIPLES

Zero trainingIf someone needs a manual to create a task, the tool was designed wrong.
Everything in one placeThe task, the discussion, the photos, the hours and the bill sit next to each other. What was agreed should not live in someone else's messenger.
A person sets DoneA task does not close by itself and is not closed by the assignee: the manager accepts the work. That is where the "ACCEPTED" stamp you saw on the home page comes from — acceptance here is manual, and that is on purpose.
